Transportation and handling operations

During handling operations, one should observe safety precautions in order to avoid damaging the facial side of ECOBOND® panels. It is necessary to prevent the panels from rubbing each other and protect the edges from impacts. It is recommended to unload and carry each panel carefully, because bending may cause panel deformation, and at the temperature below -40 °C it may cause panel breakage. It is recommendable to carry the panels in the vertical position.

Storage of ACP

Panels are supplied from manufacturing plant in horizontal position on wooden pallets. Therefore, it is expedient and economically sound to store them in the same way. The premises must be dry and protected from rainwater and moisture ingress. When stocking and storing the panels, one should observe safety precautions in order to avoid damaging the facial side while stocking and prevent the back side from the corrosion that may be caused by humidity and chemicals. It is not recommended to stack the panels of different sizes into one pile, as the panel edges may cause scratches or dents on the surface.
When panels are brought from the cold outside into the warm storehouse, it is advisable to dry them before stacking one upon another.
When panels are stored in vertical position, it is recommended to put them onto a soft, waterproof material underlay and to lean them against the wall at 10° angle. Do not place the panels directly onto the floor or the ground. Always use a small elevation in order to avoid water leaking under the panels.

Do not stick any PVC bands or stripes onto the panel surface, e.g. for marking, even onto the protective film. When panels are stored for a long time, the plasticizing agent contained in the PVC film may penetrate through protective film and affect the surface lustre.
In case of necessity to stack the pallets one upon another, the upper panel should be turned with its face surface down and covered with rigid plastic, plywood or thick cardboard layer. Wooden boards or thick plywood should be placed on the top. It is required for load distribution all over the surface. This method allows stacking up to 4 pallets one upon another.

Transportation and storage of the cassettes made of ACP

Transportation of the cassettes is carried out by freight transport in accordance with the cargo carriage rules applicable to each kind of transport. The stacks of the pallets should be fastened so that they would not shift during transportation.
The cassettes should be stored in the specially equipped warehouses. It is necessary to ensure steady position of the cassettes, exclude any contact with the ground and prevent accumulation of atmospheric moisture and condensate on them. The cassettes delivered to the place of installation should be stored in the covered premises. A stack of the cassettes should not exceed a person's height. When handling the cassettes, it is not recommended to drag them on the lower-placed cassettes.
The conditions of cassettes storage, transportation and handling must ensure preserving them in a fully undamaged state up to their intended use within the required period.

Safety precautions applied to ACP handling

The safety during the cassettes manufacturing, loading, transportation, unloading and installation must be ensured by observing the requirements of State Standards GOST 12.3 002-55, GOST 122,003-91, GOST 12,3009-56, Construction Standards and Rules 12-01-2004, as well as the requirements of Process Regulations for cassettes manufacturing, Installation Guide and Operation Manual. The documents must be provided by a project designing company and manufacturer of the cassettes.
